“Just as we can’t know what it truly feels like to be in someone else’s shoes, there are things in life that
can only be imagined and felt once we experience them for ourselves. Giving is one of those things, and nothing makes me feel more alive than that!”

The Ukulele Project

We are so thrilled to share The Ukulele Project with the world!  Our mission is to connect the world through travel, music and human kindness one person at a time.  This project is all about creating hope for a better life.  With the gift of music, we can give these children an outlet to be heard, a safe space to express emotion and ultimately help provide them with a voice.

Our next project is in Guatemala on March 14-23, 2023!  We are expanding the project!  In addition to sharing music, we will include an entrepreneurial hot seat session hosted by Amor Umbrella, a computer lab workshop provided by Bee Mind Academy and Self-Defense workshops by LittleBitServices!

Evan's LootBags for the Homeless

This is the story of how Evan’s Loot Bags For The Homeless Project began.  I remember the night it all started. It was just after 10 pm on a Friday night in early December 2012, when Evan asked me a question.  “Mom, do homeless people get loot bags?”  My first thought was of confusion.  After all, he was only 6 years old and thinking about the homeless. What was he asking me exactly and why is he asking?  Was this just another tactic, another conversation to delay his bed time?  I wasn’t sure how to answer him so I said no they don’t, not really.  He was very sad thinking that homeless people were not invited to birthday parties and didn’t receive loot bags.

The Ukulele Project

We are so thrilled to share The Ukulele Project  Panajachel, Guatemala with the world!  It is our hope that in the future, this project will expand to include other parts of the world.  Our goal is to connect the world though travel, music and human kindness one person at a time. The Ukulele Project, our family, will be visiting Panajachel, Guatemala February 28 – March 9th, 2020.  We will be donating Ukulele’s and percussion instruments to 3 of the local preschools there.  I cannot express how excited and happy we are to be able to share our love of music with these Mayan Families!
